This is a proper community tap / micro pub. I grew up this village and moved away. This kind of place didn’t exist then… but it’s great. I’ve only visited once but will be back. Holly was behind the bar for most of my visit and did a great job as hostess - pouring beers and generous with her conversation - but Paul, one of the co-owners, was there too, and was also very friendly. I met a number of regulars, who spoke enthusiastically about the live music that was due to start soon after I left, based on their previous experience. The beers were all well kept and there was a decent variety (several pales, a stout and a pilsner), all at fair prices to this customer’s eye. (I live and drink in London now so am used to paying considerably more.) My only quibble would be that there was no cask - but maybe that’s something that could be added. In the meantime, I’m going to mark generously. And while I’m not going to claim, disingenuously, that I wouldn’t have left the village if there’d been something like this when I grew up here (the lure of the West End, the lights, the gigs, the LIFE was too strong), I will say this is a hugely positive addition to the village and well worth visiting if you live nearby and have not yet been.
Kid-friendliness: There were children there till I left (around 6.15) without any issue - and they were made to feel welcome

My favourite local micro pub! Awesome selection of craft beers to cater for all tastes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great atmosphere. Regular live music and a good rotation of beers on draught. Will be back soon and would not hesitate to recommend.
Oh AND beers are only £5 a pint! Cheaper than the local chains and a hell of a lot better!

Excellent bar with an ever-changing range of quality craft beers. It's all keg rather than cask, but that's fine as there's always something interesting to try.
Great policy that all beers are the same price, and a reasonable £5/pint given the fact these are all decent beers.
Highly recommended.

Great place. Friendly staff, beer changing regularly for those who like to sample different drinks, but a regular gin/wine menu for those who like what they know!
We are regularly in the bar and take anyone to experience Tap17 whenever they come to visit us.
Would absolutely recommend if passing through!
